    Breakfast at the hotel.

The center of Stirling is easily explored on foot and just a short walk from your accommodation. Its standout attraction is the impressive Stirling Castle, which we consider one of Scotland’s finest. Spend your morning exploring the ramparts, taking in the truly breathtaking views, and visiting highlights like the Royal Palace, the Great Hall, and the Chapel Royal. Later, you might choose to stroll or take a bus across the River Forth to the National Wallace Monument, where those feeling energetic can climb its 200 steps for even more stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

  • Day 3: North By Rail To Inverness

After breakfast you’ll head north on one of Scotland’s classic rail journeys, travelling through the scenic landscapes of Highland Perthshire and across the dramatic Cairngorms to reach Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. Make your own way to the train station this morning—your hotel reception can assist with directions or help arrange a taxi if needed. Once in Inverness, your accommodation is just a short taxi ride from the station. You’ll arrive with plenty of time to drop off your luggage and begin exploring this compact, walkable city at your own pace.

As you glide along, learn about the loch’s fascinating history, local wildlife, and take in the striking sight of the romantic ruins of Urquhart Castle. While a glimpse of the legendary Nessie isn’t guaranteed, a curious spirit is always encouraged!

    Overnight in Inverness.

  • Day 5: West To Coast

After breakfast, embark on another spectacular Scottish rail journey as you travel west along the scenic Kyle Line. This route takes you through some of mainland Scotland’s most untamed landscapes, passing by some of the UK’s most remote stations en route to the picturesque loch-side village of Plockton. Make your own way to the train station to begin your journey.
