  • Day 1: Glasgow To Stonehaven

Travel along the scenic East Coast Main Line as you cross the iconic Forth Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site offering stunning views across the Firth of Forth. Your journey continues through the rolling countryside of Fife and over the graceful Tay Bridge into Angus and Aberdeenshire, passing through landscapes rich in history, coastal charm, and rural beauty. Keep your camera ready—this route showcases some of the most picturesque stretches of Scotland’s eastern coastline.

    Overnight in Stonehaven.

  • Day 2: Stonehaven To Elgin

After breakfast, enjoy a short journey north along the dramatic cliffs of the North Sea, with a brief stop in Aberdeen—nicknamed the Granite City—where the rivers Dee and Don flow into the sea. From Aberdeen, the route takes you inland through the fertile, rolling farmland of Aberdeenshire and Moray. For whisky enthusiasts, this leg of the journey offers the perfect opportunity to visit Strathisla, Scotland’s oldest working whisky distillery, and savour a traditional dram in its historic setting.

    Overnight in Moray/Aberdeen.

  • Day 3: Exploring Elgin

After breakfast, spend the day discovering the historic city of Elgin and its surrounding area. Highlights include the impressive 13th-century Elgin Cathedral and Johnston’s of Elgin, a renowned tweed and cashmere mill with a rich heritage. For whisky lovers, a trip into nearby Speyside is a must—visit Dufftown, famously known as the “Malt Whisky Capital of the World.” Alternatively, head to the Moray Coast, where you’ll find miles of unspoiled sandy beaches and peaceful forest trails—ideal for a relaxing escape into nature.

    Overnight in Moray/Aberdeen.

  • Day 4: Elgin To Inverness

After breakfast, take a short and scenic train ride towards Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, passing through the historic town of Forres. Here, you can choose to break your journey and visit Benromach Distillery—Scotland’s smallest traditional working distillery—for a guided tour and tasting session. Alternatively, you may wish to stop in the charming coastal town of Nairn. Easily accessible by train, Nairn is ideal for those who enjoy peaceful seaside strolls, with miles of unspoiled, quiet beaches perfect for walking and relaxing by the shore. Simply plan your journey with local train timetables to allow time for these enriching stops.

  • Day 5: Inverness To Pitlochry

After breakfast, board the train to the lively Highland town of Pitlochry, travelling through the stunning landscapes of Cairngorms National Park.
